TD&I is a telecommunications company that has been an industrial leader in providing underground utility services throughout the Midwest.
TD&I is seeking a Safety Director to oversee operations in the tri-state area such as Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
The position is responsible and accountable for the safe and reliable delivery of underground infrastructure services for the telecommunications, power and utility industries, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
It will plan, organize, direct and review operations within a tri-state area.
This position will lead, direct, and provide expertise and guidance to the operational crews managed and required to respond to and react to a variety of emergency/urgent situations.
It requires significant field and administrative responsibilities.
The successful candidate will have experience leading initiatives, setting and achieving goals, and developing policies and programs that reflect industry best practices.
Candidates should be highly motivated, detail oriented, and organized.
This position will report to our CEO, Senior Vice President, Vice President and work out of our Hudson, WI office with travel to our 5 office locations and field presence throughout our Midwest territory is required.
Responsibilities Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention Collaborate with management to develop and deliver safety training programs for employees Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and corrective actions taken Stay up-to-date with changes in occupational health and safety regulations Coordinate with insurance providers on workers compensation claims and ensure compliance with workers compensation laws Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize workplace hazards Conducts safety presentations and training to support compliance with safety regulations and the consistent application of safe behaviors by business support and field operations employees.
Conducts regular safety reviews and inspections in the field.
Qualifications Functions both independently and as part of a team and can communicate, promote, and drive positive change and continuous improvement 10 years experience in the underground utility industry highly preferred.
Equivalent training and experience in progressive leadership roles will be considered in lieu of industry specific experience Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is required.
Must be familiar with safety rules and regulations and first aid practices to be able to train personnel.
Must be able to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
High-level of effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and training others.
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
