About This Opportunity GEA's dynamic project management team currently has an opportunity for a Project Director to join our team and expand their skills alongside committed colleagues on state-of-the-art engineering projects.
Here you will be a part of a leading company that supplies the food and dairy industry with design & engineering of process equipment and integrated solutions.
As a Project Director you will have a central role in driving forward the most prestigious projects in our portfolio.
The project director will lead a cross cultural project execution team from one or more GEA companies which is responsible for the successful and timely completion of large and/or complex projects.
Within this role you will act as GEA's representative to the customer and will directly interface with the customer and other 3rd parties throughout all project phases from quotation right up through commissioning and project handover.
The position also provides the opportunity to join our within our global network of Project Directors where you will share experiences and influence the way we are working on prestige projects.
Participation in the group provides an opportunity for continuous improvement of our project delivery and continuous development of our Project Directors.
Responsibilities / Tasks The Project Director handles every aspect of the project while maintaining or increasing profitability of the contract by managing the project scope, project schedule, and project risk management plan, while always striving to achieve customer satisfaction.
Main responsibilities of a Project Director include:
Contract handling and project delivery according to scope, cost, quality and schedule.
Communication with customers, sub-project managers and other relevant parties Planning and maintaining overall project schedule by monitoring progress of all sub-projects Coordinating activities of the project organization and providing strong direction for the project team according to the GEA Project Management Guidelines Overall responsibility for the financial performance and result of projects ensuring the best outcome for GEA by creating and maintaining the detailed project budget and invoicing plan.
Responsible for ensuring a strong culture of ownership across the different project teams in meeting the main project objectives.
Responsible for completion of phase gate reviews and reporting of the development in the main project to multiple stakeholders.
Manages complex stakeholder relationships.
Responsible for ensuring that tasks are carried out in compliance with GEA's standard practice and procedures and meets with the customer contract requirements.
Deliver best-in-class customer management and achieve best-in-class customer satisfaction across large and complex project.
Perform Risk Management to mitigate and minimize main project risks and control the risk management of the sub-projects.
Work with Supply Chain to create a Project Procurement Plan to schedule fabrication and component receipt to meet project schedule.
Ultimately responsible for supplier selection, the RFQ process for installation, contractor selection and contractor management.
Ensure that all site work is managed by site managers times.
Attend key client meetings on site to facilitate the installation and commissioning of GEA supplied equipment and proving all the KPI's.
Coordinate with the project Health and Safety manager, follow all Health and Safety requirements and ensure that the Health and Safety plan is implemented at all times by the project team.
Deliver best-in-class Claim Management & Change Management Promote and conduct Project evaluations, lessons learned and assessment of results.

Qualifications:

Must have 4-year degree in Engineering, (Mechanical, Chemical, Food Science or similar).
Preferably PMI or other relevant certification in project management Must have 10
years of project management experience from larger technical projects.
Best-in-class project management methodologies and solid skills in commercial project management Experience handling legal and contractual matters preferred.
Experience in negotiation and dispute resolution preferred.
Understanding of process technology, preferable in hygienic food, dairy, brewing or beverage processing Must possess good English language communication skills both verbal and written.
Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently as required.
Must be willing to travel.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
