Description Phillips-Medisize, LLC is seeking a Process Engineer with experience to support our new medical manufacturing facility in Hudson, WI. This position will support manufacturing in the effort to ensure optimum engineering of projects/programs to meet customer and manufacturing requirements.Shift:
Days What You Will Do In Your RoleProvide direction and leadership to the Engineering Sample Techs as follows:
managing performance, addressing disciplinary issues, hiring, assisting people with career development, communicating information to direct reports, passing information up the management chain and fostering open communication; ensuring team is aligned with and accomplishing goals/objectives, and maintaining trust and confidentiality while fostering a team environmentSchedule and maintain workload and assign work to Engineering Sample TechsProvide troubleshooting support for Mold and Sample Technicians and be a resource to evaluate out of range processesAssure communication is effective between team members and internal customersContinuously improve existing processes using design of experiments and other methods to increase efficienciesBe a technical resource for the initiation and implementation of cost improvement plans on new and existing programsKeep up to date on injection molding equipment and process technologyProvide engineering team with information and analysis toolsAttend design meetings as part of the AQP process and provide insight and expertise to the tool design, capability and part handlingImplement systems and procedures that assure compliance with Quality StandardsExtended travel to other facilities may be required to support business needsSome programs may have vision requirementsOther duties as assignedThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Plastics, Composites or other related engineering discipline with 5
years of professional engineering experienceExperience working with plastic injection molding manufacturing; knowledge of scientific molding principles.Travel RequirementsWorking on site at the St. Croix Meadows facility During the equipment acquisition phase travel to vender sites may require 30% travel time through 2020. Thereafter, 5% travel.What Will Put You AheadKnowledge of robotics, automation, equipment, and processes desiredKnowledge of medical device regulatory environment, CGMP, strongly preferred. Comprehensive and demonstrated knowledge of SPC, DOE, geometric tolerance and blueprint readingStrong communication (verbal and written), teamwork and organizational skills to work with customers and present information, work with cross functional engineering professionals as well as manufacturing staff.Ability to identify problems and develop and implement actions to resolve themStrong technical skills in injection molding, tooling, materials, product design, and affiliated processes:
